|blurb3= '''Overview:''' The Fifth Endbringer to arrive on the scene, Sati’s long-lasting reign of terror was responsible for incalculable amounts of devastation, the biggest refugee crisis of the 2000’s, and the almost anecdotal deaths of hundreds of caped defenders. Despite notably being chopped into several pieces during the Anchorage attack, Sati was finally killed for good after the combined efforts of the Buenos Aires defenders served to immolate both her and a good portion of the city.
'''Appearance:''' Sati’s true body appeared as a floating humanoid and human-sized figure in shades of black and grey, mummified in innumerable bandages that unfurl and telekinetically seize objects or people she is presently controlling. Sati’s telekinetic “bodies” seemed to be styled according to her own inscrutable whim: hulking piles of animate junk, gore, earth, and rubble fused into various shapes and symbols. In Alexandria she wore the body of a massive eagle, in Ulaanbaatar a headsman with a towering axe, in Anchorage a great bear, in Singapore a roiling mass of four titanic serpents, in Somalia a lion, and in Buenos Aires an animate ziggurat with size comparable to a small mountain.
'''Abilities:''' Sati started out as a powerful telekinetic with the potent ability to “tether” the durability of an object or herself to another object, often manifesting as redirecting damage from attacks and ambient deleterious effects from herself to keystones of bigass buildings, the ground beneath the defender’s feet, power lines, and generally causing the defenders to destroy themselves via collateral damage from their own attacks. Her telekinetic abilities allow her free control of anything she has destroyed with redirected damage, seizing chunks of rubble, uprooted earth, ruined objects, and corpses to intersperse between herself and her assailants. When left uninhibited, this vicious cycle lends enough material to allow Sati to create a hulking body from the material, allowing her to ravage the fuck out of the surrounding area in relative safety. When “driven off” this body abruptly falls apart, leaving no visible trace of the occupant.
If the situation was not poor enough already, Sati gained the ability to directly redirect damage into living beings after not being stopped in the Alexandria attack. She exhibited the ability to telekinetically control her own severed body parts after being cleaved in two repeatedly during the Anchorage attack, and exploited this to attack as a harmonious swarm of four distinct beings during the Singapore attack. She gained the ability to handle, seize, and unearth a lot more mass than before after the Mogadishu attack, exhibited in the Buenos Aires attack where she attacked as a goddamn walking pyramid.
To fight Sati was tantamount to falling on your own sword: running the risk of devastating the city, the other defenders, and yourself in the name of maybe putting a scratch on this monster. Yet, the thought that your efforts were merely playing into her greater plan may cast doubt on your every action, reinforced by the footage from Ulaanbaatar where the defender’s attacks did more damage to the dam and thus the city than Sati’s efforts.
|blurb4= Feb 26 2003 - Alexandria, Egypt: The first appearance of Sati was both insidious and devious, establishing a cruel M.O. that would hold for the next six years. The few surviving witnesses spoke of a “phantom” that descended upon the city during the dead of night, seeming to aimlessly wander around the perimeter of a big ol’ cape fight in an apartment complex between a dueling pair of local gangs. It was merely a matter of time before she took a stray ball of acid to the chest, causing an entire section of floor/ceiling to melt away and collapse the complex on itself.
Mere hours later, a great eagle made from rubble and corpses had crushed nearly 40% of the city, trapping the majority of the defenders in an orchestrated sinkhole before being driven off. The target, if any, was unknow
|blurb5= Nov 22 2004 - Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia: The second appearance was a fair bit more obvious, as the Endbringer swooped down to the dam a mere mile away from the city and immediately began her vile work of destruction. Her newly developed ability manifested itself on live television, as a Brute’s attempts to crush her head between his stone hands instead claimed the lives of a fleeing family of civilians in a burst of gore.
The dam inevitably collapsed within a mere twenty minutes, claiming the lives of most of the defenders in the wreckage. A headsman with a towering axe was born from the wreckage, striding into the now-flooded city and indiscriminately tearing buildings apart with swings of the axe, only fleeing when reinforcements from elsewhere succeeded in destroying the body’s legs. Nearly 75% of the city was rendered unsafe for habitation, displacing around 1.3 million people and sparking a massive refugee crisis in the surrounding nations. Target was believed to be the dam.
|blurb6= May 6 2005 - Anchorage, Alaska: The third appearance was not caught for a good ten minutes, until a bigass bear composed of dirt and splintered trees tore out of the forest and started to bite into houses. A team of Corporate Tinkers with a repurposed mining laser comprised the backbone of this defense, their efforts cutting Sati’s assault on the city short as they hacked apart the outer body enough to expose Sati’s humanoid form. They managed to slice Sati’s left hand, right leg, and head off before their weaponry was destroyed by redirected laser fire. About 5% of the city was rendered unsafe for habitation, and merely 20% of the massed defenders were maimed or killed.
|blurb7= Apr 13 2006 - Singapore, Everywhere: The fourth appearance was heralded by four (relatively) small serpents composed of rock, coral, and general detritus from the ocean floor rising from four points along the coast, each quite far away from each other. They proceeded to fly themselves in an encircling pattern around the city, growing larger and more destructive with each rotation around the heavily urbanized area.
While the defenders managed to bring down and destroy the serpent containing Sati’s left hand (along with managing to obliterate the hand itself), about 60% of the highly population-dense nation of Singapore was rendered unsafe for habitation due to the destruction of infrastructure, millions of citizens were killed or trapped by collapsing skyscrapers, and millions more were displaced. Target does not seem to be known outside of the entirety of Singapore.
|blurb8= Jun 21 2007 - Mogadishu, Somalia: The fifth appearance of Sati was uncommonly orthodox with regards to Endbringer methodology: Sati’s true body rose from the shore of the capital city, trailing a skeleton of unearthed rock that was gradually filled in with the obliterated carcass of the defenders, palm trees, and white marble edifices. The resultant lion tore apart the city relatively uncontested due to the ongoing civil war, as most native capes were either killed or fled during the years prior to the attack. About 70% of the city was rendered unsafe for human habitation and about 600,000 people were killed or displaced before the defenders managed to repel it.
|blurb9= Dec 18 2008 - Buenos Aires, Argentina: The sixth and final appearance of Sati was heralded mostly by an entire goddamn slum collapsing on itself and rolling down a hill, settling into a pyramid-ish shape before slowly crawling down towards the city proper, gaining mass from displaced earth and rock along the way. Defenders met the pyramid’s inexorable charge with a mass of explosives and a myriad of Blaster/Shaker powers, with the fatalist plan of hopefully doing more damage to Sati’s construct than it could withstand regardless of how much it would redirect back. The pyramid rolled over a good tenth of the city before the edifice was properly cracked open, revealing the oddly constructed network of halls and trapped rooms she had constructed inside along with the root-like bandages snaking through the structure.
The defense essentially moved towards internally assaulting that pyramid, and the plan to go hall-by-hall and room-by-room spreading a Tinker-made accelerant was effective albeit fucking brutal. Merely 10% of the defenders survived to see Sati’s pyramid burst into flames, as it along with a good portion of the surrounding city decayed into ash and dispersed over the next few days with the breeze.
