Civilian name James Tucker

“My brother works with animal control, the other day he went out on a routine call to remove a racoon from someones garage, and they found a possum with a scorpion tail and pincers. The PRT are real hush hush about it, but there are rumors that they have been finding even stranger things lately.”

Character Sheet

Appearance

James has neatly groomed short black hair, his skin is unblemished and a little paler than usual from his secluded lifestyle. He could be considered handsome, but he is a little on the scrawny side (mostly from skipping meals in favor of further experimenting.)

His costume consists of a yellow Jumper, and a custom kevlar lab coat, He wears a functional half-face gas mask, and a set of yellow goggles.

Equipment and Resources

His laboratory/home is a privately and legally owned former-animal shelter, located in the more rural outskirts of the city of Ashton.

He possesses a sturdy older model ford truck, along with a modified horse trailer, and an animal-control van.

Has a fairly sizable amount of funding for his research, provided to him by the Cult of Angrboda, in exchange for custom creatures, and for spreading the good word. In addition to his official research funding, he makes a decent profit selling customized pets and attack animals, although he has difficulty with finding smugglers willing to transport his creatures long distances, meaning he is usually only selling to those who live in the Washington State area.

  • Taser
  • Pepper spray
  • Dog Whistle
  • Cattle prod
  • Pair of high quality knives (1 combat, 1 utility)
  • Several Epipens
  • Medkit
  • Anti-venom (Based on his creature of the week)

Skills and Specializations

  • Experienced with Handling Animals (10 years Experience as a ‘Reno Animal Control Officer’)
  • Experienced with Training Animals, especially Canines (5 years experience as ‘Reno Police Dog Handler’)
  • Competent Hand-to-hand, and Firearm skills (5 years experience as ‘Reno Police Officer’)
  • Fluent in British, Spanish, and American Sign Language

Mentality

James would give and has given everything to his faith, he is a devout worshiper of the Endbringers, and he holds reverence for all of those with monstrous forms, including Case 53’s and the vast majority of changers. As for his general personality, he is a pretty friendly person for the most part, and he doesn’t have too much difficulty making friends with the "unenlightened".

Power

Trigger type: Coven

Typhon’s ability allows him to create Chimera’s by swapping parts of animals, to form new lifeforms. (Cannot effect Humans, Fungus, or Plants) (A side effect of his power is that his creatures are all infertile). He primarily uses this ability to swap individual body parts (Example 1: Squirrel with Scorpion tail /Scorpion with Squirrel tail) (Example 2: House cat with Dog Brain/Dog with house cat brain).

Typhon can alternatively use this ability to swap the entirety of an animal's body. (Example 1: Lion sized Raccoon/ Raccoon sized Lion) (Example 2: Brown Bear sized Tarantula/ Tarantula sized Brown Bear). The process of swapping parts of a creature often leaves the creatures confused about the operation of there new limbs, and they require a chunk of time to acclimate to the new appendage/s. This acclimation time is increased significantly based on the compatibility/similarity with the various creatures used in the creation of the Chimera.

The process of creating the chimera’s instills the creatures with an artificial sense of loyalty, and a reluctance to cause harm to Typhon, although these mental effects start off weak, they can be reinforced via conventional training.

His power requires skin contact with both of the creatures he is altering. The Process takes several hours, and the process of altering the creatures renders them temporarily sedate or even comatose. He has learned from first hand experience that he can use this in an defensive manner, by sedating animals that have lashed out at him.

When increasing/decreasing the overall size of a creature, the creatures abilities are not always portrayed accurately on a 1-to-1 scale, as the shard's seemingly arbitrary limiter would not allow for a Brute 10 giant Ant, or a Mover 10 giant Grasshopper. (Exact limits of an individual creatures capabilities are left up to the discretion of the staff member approving the creature. Allowing for an easier time with balancing.) As a creature is scaled up in size its toxins/poisons/venom/etc are diluted in potency (to prevent instakills from a giant cobra/spider/dart frog/etc).

His power ignores the Square Cube Law, and generally takes conventional Biology as a suggestion, allowing for creatures that defy all conventional science.
