Power

Trigger type: Single Natural

Creates regions where all sound inside the area appears to originate from 3 feet away from the listener, in its relative direction. All sound within the affected region can be heard by every person in the region. No sounds from outside the region can be heard within the region and vice versa. 6ft Diameter Sphere at smallest, up to a block or so at the largest. Areas are Spherical (Spherical!) or cylindrical. Mono Channel is not immune to his own powers, but is less disoriented by its effects due to constant exposure. Only 1 area can be up at a time, areas can be dismissed immediately, or will stop if Mono Channel gets too far from its boundary.

Could envelope a build in a cylinder of his power and set off an explosive inside the affected area, all individuals inside the build would hear the sound right next to them but in the direction of it’s source, allowing a single flashbang grenade to deafen everyone inside the effect regardless of location, and even if it was only feet away it would not be abel t5o be heard outside the affected space. All in-ear communication devices are rendered ineffective as the sound coming out of them is effectively moved 3 feet away, making it too quiet to hear. However, talking at a normal volume will likely be heard by everyone inside the area.

Backstory

Chris used to work at a music company as a sound tech. He made good friends with everyone he was around and tended to keep everyone close. One day, after everyone had finished their work for the day, a group of his ‘friends’ decided to prank him by locking him inside of the anechoic chamber. Shoved in by people he thought were friends, and stuck locked in a room where no sound exists he got angry. As the hours passed his anger turned to desperation, he started counting fingers, padding, anything he could think of to say out loud so that he could hear anything aside from his own blood pumping in his ears. After the six hour mark hit, he lost track of time. Out of water and unable to escape, he relents to the silence, saving his voice.

The silence was overpowering. It would dissipate slightly if he opened his mouth and just spoke, but he was overwhelmed, the silence drowning him. He kept going over his actions, and the events that took place. Obviously those people were not his friends. Obviously he didn’t know them. Obviously he was going insane. By hour ten he was quietly weeping into the floor. By twelve…he was broken. He was going to die here. In silence. Alone.
