A new member of the Devilfish Wards. Has been active for a few weeks before joining the Wards, with multiple reports of small robberies being interrupted by exploding motes of light, but he's finally made a public appearance.

Character Sheet

Appearance

A teenager of average height, with light brown skin and short black hair. Trying to grow a moustache, but his genes aren't fully working with him yet.

Costume: Base is a ski mask made of heavy cloth with glitters through it, four-pointed star painted over one eye. Full costume consists of a slightly old-fashioned getup: a fancy long coat over a leather vest over a shirt. Slacks and leather shoes. A long scarf of the same cloth as the mask.

Equipment and Resources

  • First-aid kit
  • Zipties

His parents are aware of his cape activities, and are supportive of him, so his house is a safe spot.

Wealth Level: 4

Skills and Specializations

  • Charisma
  • Theatrics
  • First-aid knowledge
  • Has his driver's licence
  • Can tap dance

Mentality

Charismatic, a bit of a showman, even more when in costume.

He's a hero partially because he genuinely likes to help people, but mostly because he wants to be known.

Power

Trigger type: Single Natural Blaster

Starstruck creates little pellets of light, or ‘stars’. They are solid but not extremely tough. The stars float in the air, and he has telekinetic control over the, which lessens as he creates more (he can only control 4-5 stars with precision, after that it gets rougher), or they get closer to the edge of his range (15 meters). If they exceed his range, he loses control over them and they fizzle out after a few seconds.

The stars can detonate, creating a blast of light and concussive force roughly a foot across. One feels like a solid punch, but with many stars it quickly adds up. They can also just fizzle out at will, or be destroyed through impacts. Starstruck himself is Manton-protected from these blasts, so while they'll blow his clothes around he won't feel a thing.

He creates the stars from his skin, and they are intangible for the first second. People can physically push them around, but that is a lot like trying to push a floating bit of dust.

Starstruck has a sense of where his stars are in relation to him, which helps him move them and can give him a very rough sense of his surroundings.

Common tactics are to either fill a room with stars and then detonate them, or to create a few and make them float in front of his hands, detonating them when he punches.

Backstory

Caleb was taking a shortcut through the woods, as he often did. He got about halfway before he heard the crack of a gunshot, and a bullet impacted a tree in front of him. He hit the ground, fast. More gunshots began to sound, all around him, as he cowered. He considering calling out, but he couldn't tell if this was mistaken identity, or if they were aiming for him for some reason.

He looked up, and saw stars.

Trigger.

OOC I'm gonna say it's indeed a case of mistaken identity, nothing to do with him, just wrong place wrong time.
