Public Info
Shield maiden is a fairly recognizable mid-tier indie hero. She is known to generate glowing shields and toss people around with them, generally recognized as a brute.
Appearance
In civilian appearance, she is a fairly average looking woman, brown hair and brown eyes, nothing too distinct, though she is athletic enough. In cape form she is covered in what seems to be glowing armor, which upon closer look would seem to be many, many kite shields of varying sizes overlapping over her. She also wields a large glowing shield in the shape of a kite shield.
Mentality
A fairly experienced cape, though generally optimistic. She's known to give back to the community, volunteer for various charities, volunteer at homeless shelters, etc. Privately she's generally troubled and has a tough family situation, though she has a wonderful partner in Josie Hapernickle, long-time girlfriend.
Power
Can generate glowing shield constructs around her body, generally remaining in their general location from where they were formed. No limit on number of shield constructs formed, and such constructs tend to be very good at dampening kinetic energy they are hit with. Energy absorbed/dampened this way can be released from one of the generated shields in an outwards burst, knocking back nearby opponents depending on how much force has been absorbed.
Since the kinetic energy is absorbed this reduces impact on herself or things that hit her considerably, letting her catch falling people with minimal injury to them, or drop from high places. She can also leak kinetic energy absorbed more slowly to enhance the force she exerts, effectively acting as a super strength.
